It is reported that Ministry of Commerce has agreed that Chengdu International Trade City can worked out Chengdu Chinese Herbal Medicines price index. Yesterday afternoon, Chengdu Minicipal Committee Wn Denglai and other responsible persons from other departments, such as Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Economy Commission, etc went to Chengdu International Trade City Chinese Herbal Medicine Market to inspect. Wen hoped to take this opportunity to combine the advantages of Chinese herbal medicine market and agriculture, when Chinese medicine industry grows stongger, agriculter also can get benefits.

It is learned that at present, with guide of Sichuan Department of Commerce, Chengdu International Trade City is doing preparatory work for price index. Jinniu Deputy District Major Liu Yinyong expressed this index is very importment, it marks that the price index in Chengdu will be the vane of national chinese herbal medicine market.
